You cannot directly change an inactive member back to active in Uku. Instead, add the same person as a new member by sending them a fresh invitation. They'll receive an email to sign up and regain access to your company's Uku account.
How to Restore Access for an Inactive Member
Follow these steps to give a former team member access to Uku again:
Step 1: Navigate to Members Section
Open Uku and go to Members from the left menu
You'll see a list of all active members
Step 2: Add the Member as New User
Since you cannot change the status of an inactive member, you need to add them fresh:
Click the "Add member" button
Enter the person's email address (use the same email they had before)
Fill in their details:
First name
Last name
Role (User, Admin, or Owner)
Click "Send invitation"
Step 3: Member Receives Invitation
The person will receive an invitation email to join your Uku company. They need to:
Open the invitation email
Click the activation link
Complete the sign-up process (even if they were a member before)
Important: The new member account won't automatically have access to their previous clients or tasks. You'll need to manually reassign their client access and adjust any task assignments.
Who Can Manage Member Access?
Only Owners and Admins have permission to:
Add new members to the company account
Deactivate existing members
Manage member roles and permissions
If you're a regular User and don't see options to manage members, contact your company Owner or Admin for assistance.
