Actionable Audit Log
Track every action taken in your Uku account, see who did what and when, and undo changes when needed. The Audit Log gives your accounting firm full transparency and accountability.
Who can do this
Available only on the Elite Plan.
All members with account access can view the Audit Log.
Access the Audit Log
Log in to your Uku account.
Click your user name icon.
Select Audit Log from the dropdown menu.
The Actions view opens, showing a chronological list of all actions performed in your Uku account.
Filter and search the Audit Log
The Audit Log provides detailed records of all actions and enables an overview of deleted information, ensuring nothing important is overlooked.
Use the filter bar to narrow down the displayed actions:
Period — select a date range
Type — choose an entity type
Member — view actions performed by a specific team member
Action — filter by action type: Add, Delete, Edit, or Event
Status — filter by different statuses
You can also use the search bar to find specific entries by keyword. Search works across:
Task title
Client name
Project name
Task name
For example, enter a task title in the search bar to find all actions related to that specific task.
View action details
The Audit Log displays a chronological list of all actions performed within your Uku account for the selected company and filtered by the selected member.
Each entry includes:
The user who performed the action
The time and date of the action
A description of what was changed
To see the full details of an action:
Find the action you want to inspect.
Click on the action entry.
A details panel opens showing the full information about that action, including what was changed and the previous values.
Restore deleted tasks
If a task was deleted by mistake, you can restore it directly from the Audit Log. For step-by-step instructions, see How to restore deleted tasks in Uku.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find the Audit Log option in the menu
The Audit Log is available only on the Elite Plan. Check your current plan under Billing Settings. If you are on a lower-tier plan, upgrade to Elite to access this feature.
The Audit Log shows no results for my search
Make sure the Period filter covers the time when the action was performed. The default date range may be too narrow. Expand the date range and try your search again. Also check that no other filters (such as Member or Action) are unintentionally narrowing the results.
I cannot find a specific member's actions
Use the Member filter to select that person. If the member has been deactivated, their past actions still appear in the log — make sure the Period filter covers the dates when they were active.
I want to undo an action but there is no undo button
Not all actions can be undone directly from the Audit Log. Currently, deleted tasks can be restored. For other changes, click on the action entry to see exactly what was changed and then manually revert the settings in the relevant area of Uku.
