Office attendance tracking
TL;DR: Uku can automatically detect whether employees are working from the office or remotely based on IP address, and display their work location with a color-coded house icon. Managers configure IP addresses in settings; employees see their status update automatically.

Overview
Employees can update their work location (home or office) with one click, helping managers plan office capacity and team meetings.
Setting up office attendance tracking
Open Settings.
Select the Office attendance tracking tab.
Activate the Enable office attendance tracking toggle.
Enter the company's server IP address.
Click Save.
If the company uses multiple servers, click the Add IP button, enter the additional IP address, and click Save.
How the status icons work
Once tracking is enabled, a house icon automatically appears in the navigation bar for all employees.
Blue house -- The employee is connected from the office IP, indicating in-office work.
Grey house -- The employee is connected from a server outside the company, indicating remote work.
Uku automatically assigns the grey house icon when the employee's connection does not match any registered company IP address.
Manually toggling work location
Click your user name in the user menu.
In the dropdown menu, use the location toggle to switch between office and remote status.
The automatic IP-based detection takes priority when available. Manual toggling is useful when you need to override the detected location temporarily.
Troubleshooting
House icon does not appear: Confirm that an admin has activated Enable office attendance tracking in the Office attendance tracking tab and saved the configuration.
Status shows grey house while in office: The IP address you are connecting from may not match the registered company IP. Ask your admin to verify the IP addresses configured in settings, or check if you are connected through a VPN.
Cannot toggle location manually: Open the user menu by clicking your user name and look for the location toggle in the dropdown. If it is missing, the feature may not be enabled for your account.
Multiple office locations not recognized: Ensure that all office IP addresses have been added using the Add IP button. Each office location requires its own IP entry.
