Generate Business Analytics Reports

TL;DR: Use the Report module to analyze completed and planned tasks by client, member, or topic. Filter, customize, and export your data as PDF or Excel for performance tracking and client reporting.

Who can do this

  • Users with access to the Report module in Uku

Filter Report Data

Refine the report to view specific workloads, such as tasks completed for a specific client or by a specific team member.

  1. Select Report in the main navigation menu.

  2. Use the Filter Bar to select data criteria:

    • Period: Select the date range for the report.

    • Member: Filter by specific employee to measure individual workload.

    • Client: Filter by client to see total tasks and time spent.

    • Topic: Filter by specific work categories.

    • Status: Filter by task status (e.g., Done, Planned).

  3. Enter a task title in the Search field to find specific items.

  4. Select Reset (X) to clear all active filters.

Customize the Summary View

The Summary view provides a high-level overview of work done and extra work, grouped by category.

  1. Select the Summary tab.

  2. Select the Grouped dropdown to change how data is organized (e.g., Client/Topic, Member/Date, Client/Task).

  3. Select Expand (+) next to a group to view detailed line items.

  4. Select Table Settings (table icon) to toggle additional data columns:

    • Task Count

    • Billable / Non-billable Hours

    • Extra Work

    • Total Time

Analyze Tasks and Time

Drill down into specific task details or time logs.

  1. Select the Tasks tab to view a list of tasks matching your filters.

  2. Select the Time tab to view tasks alongside the specific time spent on them.

  3. Select Column Settings (three-column icon) to toggle visible fields, such as Duration, Start Date, or Due Date.

  4. Select a Column Header to sort the data by that field.

Export the Report

Save the current view to share proof of work with clients or for internal record-keeping.

  1. Apply the necessary filters to capture the correct data.

  2. Select Export (arrow icon).

  3. Choose to save the file as a PDF or Excel document.

Troubleshooting

The report is blank or missing data.

Ensure the Period filter is set to the correct date range. Check if existing filters in the Filter Bar are excluding the data you expect to see. Select Reset (X) to clear all filters and start fresh.

I cannot see a specific employee's data.

Verify that you have selected the correct name in the Member filter. If the member does not appear in the dropdown, confirm that you have permission to view their data.

How do I measure workload per client?

Select Client in the Filter Bar. The Summary tab displays total tasks and time spent per client. The Tasks tab lists specific activities, and the Time tab shows duration details.

Exported report does not match what I see on screen.

The export captures only the currently filtered and visible data. Make sure all desired filters are applied and the correct tab (Summary, Tasks, or Time) is selected before exporting.
