How to delete a recurring task
TL;DR: Remove a recurring task either by unchecking it from the client's task plan, or by opening the task and deleting its template through the three dots menu.
Who can do this
All members who have access to the client's task plan can remove recurring tasks
If another member is involved in the task, you can choose to delete the task entirely or remove only your account from it
Method 1: Remove from the client's task plan
Open the client's profile. You can do this by clicking the client icon next to the client's name, or by selecting Clients from the main menu and choosing the client.
Select the Plan tab in the client profile.
Click the Edit Plan button.
Uncheck the recurring task you want to remove.
Click Confirm task plan to save your changes.
Important: Always click Confirm task plan after making changes. Unchecking a task without confirming will not save your changes.
Method 2: Delete from the task view
You can delete a recurring task from the Dashboard, Calendar, Report, or Client profile views.
Open the recurring task you want to delete from any of the views listed above.
Click the three dots menu and select Edit template task.
The Recurring Task view opens. Click the three dots menu again and select Delete task template.
Uku will ask you to confirm the deletion.
If another member is involved in the recurring task, choose whether to delete the task completely or remove only your account from it.
Confirm to proceed.
Tip: A recurring task is indicated by a purple header. If you see a purple header on a task, it is a recurring task that was generated from a template.
Troubleshooting
Task reappears after unchecking in the plan β Make sure you clicked Confirm task plan after unchecking the task. Changes are not saved until you confirm.
Cannot find Edit template task in the menu β Verify you are opening a recurring task (indicated by a purple header). One-off tasks do not have the Edit template task option.
Only want to remove yourself, not delete for everyone β Use Method 2. When Uku asks you to confirm, select the option to remove only your account from the task instead of deleting it entirely.
Deleted task still showing on the dashboard β Refresh the page. If the task still appears, check whether the same task exists under a different recurring template for the same client.
