Who can enable apps
Section titled “Who can enable apps”Only Company Admins and Company Owners can enable or disable apps. All members can see the Settings & Apps page, but configuration is restricted to admins and owners.
How to enable or disable an app
Section titled “How to enable or disable an app”- Click Settings & Apps in the left sidebar.
- Find the app card and click it to open the app dialog.
- On the Overview tab, click the activation button to enable the app.
- To disable, open the dialog again and use the deactivation option in the app settings.
Apps marked with an Elite badge require an Elite plan. If you are on a Team plan and click an Elite app, you will see upgrade options.
Capacity Planning

Mini Uku (Chrome extension)
Section titled “Mini Uku (Chrome extension)”Plan required: All plans (always available)
Mini Uku is a Chrome browser extension that brings core Uku functionality to any website.
- Add new tasks from any website without switching back to the Uku app.
- Track time against tasks while working in your accounting software or any browser tab.
- A badge on the Mini Uku icon shows the unread notification count.
- A running timer displays directly on the extension icon.
- Works alongside Merit Aktiva, e-conomic, or similar tools.
How to install:
- Go to Settings & Apps and click the Mini Uku card.
- Click Install — this opens the Chrome Web Store listing for Mini Uku.
- Add the extension to Chrome. The Uku owl icon appears in the browser corner.
- Click the icon to open the Mini Uku panel from any website.
Mini Uku is only available for Chrome. The Install button is disabled in other browsers.

Workforce Management
Section titled “Workforce Management”Plan required: Elite
Workforce Management is a team management tool designed for Company Admins and HR. It extends member profiles with HR-relevant data and adds office attendance tracking and flextime reporting.
- Customizable employee profiles — add standard and custom fields (contract dates, software proficiency, equipment, health check dates, and more).
- Note-taking — attach notes to employee profiles for performance reviews, onboarding progress, or HR documentation.
- Office attendance tracking — members update their work location (home or office) with one click. Company Admins can see office attendance and plan capacity.
- Flextime reporting — clear overview of working hours, overtime, and vacation balances.
- Vacation and absence management — track team vacation balances and absences, with data export for payroll.
How to enable: Go to Settings & Apps, click the Workforce card, and activate it.
Budget app
Section titled “Budget app”Plan required: Elite
The Budget app lets you set spending or billing caps for individual clients and track actual usage against them. Once enabled, a Budgets tab appears on each client profile.
- Create one-time or recurring budgets (monthly, quarterly, yearly) for clients.
- Assign a budget to a specific invoice, contract, project, or topic.
- Set a warning threshold — Uku alerts selected team members when usage crosses that level.
- Budgets that exceed the warning threshold are highlighted in red in the budget list.
How to enable: Go to Settings & Apps, click the Budgeting card, and activate it. Once active, open any client profile to find the Budgets tab.
