How to order Uku plans?

TL;DR: Choose your Uku subscription plan by entering billing details in Settings & Apps before your 14-day free trial expires. Pay with a credit or debit card, and select monthly or annual billing (with a 23% discount for annual).

Who can do this

  • The owner of the business account can manage billing and subscription plans

Free trial and subscription overview

The free trial starts when you create a business account and automatically ends 14 days after sign-up.

  • If billing information has been provided during the trial period, a paid subscription starts automatically when the trial expires.

  • If billing information has not been provided, access to the company account will be restricted, but access to Uku Free remains.

  • Company account data is kept for two weeks after the trial ends and can be accessed once payment is received.

The business account owner will receive a notification before the trial expires. Make sure to enter billing details before the trial ends to avoid any interruption.

How to pay for Uku

To purchase any Uku plan, you need a valid credit or debit card.

Enter billing details and start your Uku Team account

  1. Open Settings & Apps from the main menu.

  2. Select your company's app.

  3. Click Choose a plan.

  4. Uku displays the number of users currently added to the business account. Increase the number to invite more users. To decrease the number, change a user to inactive status first.

  5. Choose your billing cycle: Monthly or Annual. Annual billing includes a 23% discount.

  6. Review the amount that will be charged and click Pay.

  7. Enter your card number, expiration date, and CVV. If any details are incorrect, the payment will fail.

What to do if payment fails

Sometimes server connection issues, browser extensions, or other factors cause the payment process to fail. You may see an error message or the page may keep loading.

Solution

  1. Log out of Uku -- exit your Uku account completely.

  2. Open Uku in incognito/private browsing mode:

    • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac), or open the browser menu and select New incognito window

    • Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac), or open the browser menu and select New InPrivate window

    • Safari: Press Cmd+Shift+N or open the File menu and select New Private Window

  3. Retry the payment -- log back in and complete all the billing steps again.

Incognito/private browsing mode does not save browsing history, cookies, or site data. This avoids conflicts with saved data and extensions that might interfere with the payment process.

Common payment errors

If payment still fails after trying incognito mode, check for these card issues:

  • Card has expired

  • Online payments are not enabled for the card

  • Insufficient funds available

  • Incorrectly entered card number, expiration date, or CVV code

  • Your bank limits payments abroad or outside your region

After correcting any card errors, always refresh the page while holding the Shift key before trying again. This forces the browser to load the page fresh and removes any temporary errors.

Troubleshooting

  • Payment page keeps loading indefinitely: Log out, open Uku in incognito/private browsing mode, and try again. Browser extensions (especially ad blockers) can interfere with the payment process.

  • Cannot decrease the number of users: You must first change the extra users to inactive status before you can lower the user count on the billing page.

  • Trial expired but billing details were not entered: Your company account data is preserved for two weeks. Log in, enter your billing information, and complete the payment to restore full access.

  • Card is valid but payment is still declined: Contact your bank to confirm that international and online payments are enabled for your card. Some banks block payments to foreign merchants by default.
