Follow the steps below to create a properly formatted prepayment invoice:
2. Create products.
Prepayment invoices can only include products with a fixed price.
Go to “Products” and add the fixed-price services or products you want to include on the invoice.
To make it clear that the invoice covers a prepayment period, we recommend using placeholders in the invoice description or product names.
Set up a billing contract for the client, add the correct fixed-price products, and define the start date for the prepayment period.
4. Generate and send the invoice
Once the billing period begins, the invoice is generated automatically and its status will be set to Draft.
If you have many clients, we recommend creating a dedicated client group to make filtering and managing them easier later.
Read more about creating client groups.
Once everything is set, select the invoices you want to generate.
Click "Create" and then "Continue".
The invoice status will change to Created.
After that, you're ready to send the invoices to your clients.
