How to save your Dashboard

TL;DR: Filter your Dashboard task list by date, status, client, or other criteria, then save the view so you can return to it instantly. You can also set a saved Dashboard as your default view.

Who can do this

  • Any Uku user with access to the Dashboard

Why save a Dashboard view?

Saving a customized Dashboard view lets you quickly switch between different filtered task lists without reapplying filters each time. This is especially useful when you want to distinguish between:

  • A specific time period

  • Important tasks

  • Today's tasks

  • Tasks by client

How to filter your Dashboard

  1. Open the Dashboard from the Main Menu.

  2. Click the Filter icon in the task list header.

  3. Select from the available filter options:

    • Date (e.g., "Today")

    • Status (To Do, Done, Overdue, Delayed, Completed, Archived)

    • Topic

    • Client

    • User

    • Search

  4. To add more filter criteria, click the + icon.

How to save a Dashboard view

  1. After applying the desired filters, click the Save icon (disk icon).

  2. In the pop-up window, choose whether to Add a new Dashboard or Edit an existing one.

  3. Enter a name for the saved Dashboard view.

  4. Click Save to confirm.

How to set a default Dashboard view

  1. When saving a Dashboard view, check the Make this my default view checkbox.

  2. This view will automatically open each time you access the Dashboard.

How to access saved Dashboards

  1. Hover over Dashboard in the Main Menu.

  2. A list of your saved Dashboard views will appear.

  3. Your default Dashboard is marked with a # symbol and displayed in bold.

  4. Click any saved Dashboard name to switch to that view.

Tip: Create separate saved Dashboards for different workflows, such as "Today's urgent tasks" or "Tasks by client." This helps you quickly switch context without rebuilding filters.

Troubleshooting

  • Saved Dashboard does not appear in the menu: Hover over Dashboard in the Main Menu to reveal the list of saved views. If the view is missing, it may not have been saved successfully. Try saving it again.

  • Default view is not loading automatically: Verify that the Make this my default view checkbox was checked when you saved the Dashboard. Edit the saved view and enable this option.

  • Filters reset after navigating away: Filters only persist if you save the Dashboard view. If you apply filters without saving, they will be lost when you leave the page.

  • Cannot edit an existing saved Dashboard: Click the Save icon (disk icon), then select Edit an existing one in the pop-up window and choose the Dashboard you want to update.
