How to define my regional settings

TL;DR: Set your preferred date, time, number, and calendar formats by updating the regional format in your Uku profile settings.

Who can do this

  • All members can configure their own regional settings through their profile

How to update regional settings

  1. Select Profile from the main menu.

  2. Select Edit profile.

  3. Locate the Regional format setting and update it to your preferred format.

  4. Click Save.

What the regional format controls

Time settings

  • Date format

  • Time of day format

  • Time zone

Calendar view

  • Start of the week (Monday or Sunday)

Important: Flextime always counts a week from Monday to Sunday, regardless of your regional formatting settings.

Number formats

  • Decimal separator

  • Currency symbols

Invoices and contracts

  • All number and currency formats are displayed according to your profile settings.

  • When invoices are printed to PDF and sent to clients, the client's language and country are used for formatting instead of your own settings.

Troubleshooting

  • Invoice shows different formatting than expected โ€” Printed and emailed invoices use the client's language and country settings, not your profile settings. Check the client's profile to verify their country and language are set correctly.

  • Week starts on the wrong day โ€” Update the Regional format in your profile to a locale that matches your preferred week start day. Note that Flextime always uses Monday as the start regardless.

  • Dates or numbers look wrong in reports โ€” Regional format changes apply to your own view only. Other team members see data formatted according to their own profile settings.
