Uku plans explained — Team, Elite, Enterprise

Team plan
Section titled “Team plan”The Team plan is the standard choice for accounting and bookkeeping firms. It is priced per active member seat, with the option of monthly or annual billing — see the pricing page for current rates and currencies (EUR, USD, GBP, and PLN are shown by default).
Team includes everything you need to run client work end-to-end:
- Unlimited members and clients, with bulk client import from Excel or accounting software.
- Billing — create products, set up contracts, generate invoices, send debt reminders.
- Client Portal — share tasks and documents with your clients via magic-link access.
- Monitoring — track compliance deadlines across all your clients.
- E-mails app — connect your Gmail or Outlook inbox to manage client emails inside Uku.
- Accounting integrations — sync invoices with Xero, Merit Aktiva, QuickBooks, Fortnox, e-conomic, Tripletex, FreeAgent, Trigon, Directo, Smart Accounts, and more.
- AML (Anti Money Laundering) — automated risk profile and status tracking with country-specific custom fields.
- Workforce Management & Flextime — track team hours, approve vacations, manage overtime balances. The Workforce app must be activated in Settings & Apps.
- Projects — finite engagements with statuses, phases, and project-specific tasks.
- Custom fields, Magic Button, workflow automations — power-user productivity features.
- Company-level templates for tasks, projects, and billing.
- Live chat support in addition to email.
The Team plan charges per active member seat. Add or remove members at any time — billing adjusts on the next cycle.
Elite plan
Section titled “Elite plan”Elite is priced per active member seat (monthly or annual billing). It adds an advanced layer on top of Team:
- BI Analytics — revenue, profitability, utilisation, and billing-health dashboards with firm-wide and per-client views. Full visibility for Company Owners and Company Admins; Company Members see scoped data on their assigned clients only.
- eSignatures — request legally binding electronic signatures on documents directly from the Client Portal. Produces ASiC-E compliant signature containers (standards-based archive bundling originals + signatures + timestamps).
- Budgets — set spending caps per client and get notified before work approaches or exceeds the budget.
- Documents — connect a Google Drive, Dropbox, or SharePoint folder to individual clients for seamless document management.
- Public API — programmatic access to your Uku data. JWT authentication, base URL
https://app.getuku.com/api/v1.0/. - Zapier integration — connect Uku to 5,000+ apps via Zapier without writing code.
- Audit log (team-wide) — full change history across your whole account with before/after values and undo. Basic Audit Log (own changes only) is on every plan; Elite unlocks team-wide visibility and extended history for Company Admins and Owners.
- Client Portal custom menu — tailor portal navigation per client with personalised task categories.
Coming in 2026 on Elite
Section titled “Coming in 2026 on Elite”The following features are part of the Elite plan and are scheduled to ship during 2026. Check Settings & Apps → Subscription for the most current availability:
- Capacity planning — AI-assisted time estimation and team capacity modelling.
- Proposals — send service proposals to prospective clients before a contract is in place.
- Email Triage — AI-assisted incoming-email categorisation.
- Uku MCP — programmatic command over firm data with bulk operations and queries.
Enterprise plan
Section titled “Enterprise plan”For large firms with custom needs. Enterprise is Elite with custom pricing and tailored services, sold via direct contact with the Uku sales team.
Enterprise includes everything in Elite, plus:
- Custom integrations built on request (development effort billed separately).
- Assisted client import — Uku’s team migrates your clients from your previous tool.
- Tailor-made team workshop — onboarding training shaped to your firm’s needs.
- Early access to features — preview unreleased functionality and influence the roadmap.
- Pay by invoice — alternative to credit-card billing.
- Dedicated account manager — a named contact who knows your business.

The 14-day trial
Section titled “The 14-day trial”Every new Uku account starts with 14 days of Elite, free, no credit card required. During the trial you have full access to every feature in the Elite plan — analytics, eSignatures, Budgets, integrations, the lot — so you can evaluate whether Uku fits your firm before committing.
When the trial ends:
- You choose Team or Elite (or contact sales for Enterprise) and add payment details to continue.
- If you do not choose a plan, your account stops processing new work until you do.
Uku does not have a permanent free tier. The trial is the only no-payment way to use Uku, and it is fixed at 14 days.
Pricing and billing
Section titled “Pricing and billing”- Per active member. Pricing is per active member seat. Clients accessing the Client Portal are free — only your team members count toward the seat total.
- Monthly or annual billing. Annual billing is cheaper than monthly. You can switch billing cycles in Settings & Apps → Subscription.
- No long-term contracts — cancel any time; your account stays active until the end of the billing period.
- Currency support: EUR, USD, GBP, and PLN are displayed by default. Other currencies on request for Enterprise.
- Switching plans: upgrade prorates the difference for the remaining billing period; downgrade applies a credit to your next cycle.

Onboarding
Section titled “Onboarding”Every Company that activates a paid plan gets one free 60-minute onboarding session with the Uku team — kick-off planning, basic settings, and a team training session. This is a one-time benefit per Company, not per member.
For firms that need more help, paid onboarding packages are available — covering client import, settings configuration, task and project template setup, billing master products, and additional training sessions for larger teams. See the pricing page for the available packages and current rates.
Elite Early Bird (legacy)
Section titled “Elite Early Bird (legacy)”Some companies that adopted Elite early are on a grandfathered Elite Early Bird pricing arrangement. The features available are identical to the current Elite plan. If you see “Elite Early Bird” listed on your subscription page, your plan is equivalent to Elite — no feature difference applies.
How to upgrade your plan
Section titled “How to upgrade your plan”- Go to Settings & Apps in the left sidebar.
- Click Subscription.
- Review the plan comparison and click Upgrade on the plan you want.
- Choose monthly or annual billing.
- Enter or confirm payment-card details.
- Confirm the upgrade — the change takes effect immediately.

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”A feature is described as Team but I cannot see it
Section titled “A feature is described as Team but I cannot see it”Most apps must be explicitly activated in Settings & Apps before they appear in the sidebar — even on Team or Elite. Examples: Billing, Client Portal, Monitoring, Workforce Management, Projects, AML, eSignatures. Go to Settings & Apps, find the feature card, and click the toggle to enable it. If you do not see the toggle, check with your Company Admin or Company Owner.
BI Analytics says “Elite required” but I am on Elite
Section titled “BI Analytics says “Elite required” but I am on Elite”BI Analytics is fully visible only to Company Owners and Company Admins on the Elite plan. Company Members see a scoped version limited to their own assigned clients. If you are a Company Admin and still cannot access BI Analytics, confirm your plan in Settings & Apps → Subscription and that the BI Analytics feature is enabled.
My trial just ended — what happens to my account?
Section titled “My trial just ended — what happens to my account?”After 14 days, the trial closes. Choose Team or Elite in Settings & Apps → Subscription and add payment details to keep working. Your data stays in place; the account simply stops processing new work until a plan is selected.
I want to downgrade from Elite to Team
Section titled “I want to downgrade from Elite to Team”Contact Uku support before downgrading. When you move from Elite to Team, Elite-only features (BI Analytics, Audit Log team-wide visibility, eSignatures, Budgets, Documents, Public API, Zapier, Client Portal custom menu) become inaccessible — but the underlying data is preserved in case you upgrade again later. The Company Owner manages plan changes via Settings & Apps → Subscription.
How do I get a discount for a larger team?
Section titled “How do I get a discount for a larger team?”Volume discounts are part of the Enterprise plan. Contact sales — pricing is tailored per firm size and needs.
What languages is Uku available in?
Section titled “What languages is Uku available in?”Uku is available in 12 languages: English, German, Spanish, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Polish, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian. The Client Portal supports the same languages, so your clients can use Uku in their preferred language.
Is my data secure?
Section titled “Is my data secure?”Yes. Uku is SOC 2 Type I certified with data hosted in EU data centers. Encryption at rest and in transit, regular security audits, and strict access controls apply on every plan. See the security policy for the full overview.
