Connect Fortnox to Uku

Company Admin or Company Owner role on a Team or Elite subscription. You also need a Fortnox login with administrator rights on the company you want to connect — only an administrator can authorize third-party apps in Fortnox.

Fortnox is the right integration for firms in Sweden, and is also suitable for Finnish firms using Fortnox.

Path: Settings & Apps → Fortnox

  1. Open Settings & Apps and find the Fortnox card.
  2. Click the card to open the integration dialog and, on the Overview tab, click Enable.
  3. Switch to the Connect to Fortnox tab.
  4. Click Authorize. Uku redirects you to the Fortnox sign-in page.
  5. Sign in to Fortnox and grant Uku the requested scopes (invoices, customers, articles).
  6. Fortnox returns you to Uku. The connection is confirmed on the Overview tab.

OAuth tokens are stored in Uku and refreshed automatically. You will not need to re-authorize unless access is revoked from inside Fortnox or the connected company changes ownership.

Fortnox is one-way inbound for the standard work-statistics flow used by accounting summary tasks. In addition, Uku can push invoices generated in Uku into the connected Fortnox company and read invoice paid status back.

Fortnox only allows administrators to authorize third-party apps. Sign in with an admin account on the Fortnox company you want to connect, then run the Authorize flow again.

Disconnect on the Overview tab and re-authorize. When Fortnox prompts for which company to connect, pick the correct one. Uku stores one Fortnox company per Uku company; to manage multiple Fortnox companies, use a separate Uku workspace per company file.

The Fortnox refresh token may have been revoked, or scopes may have changed. Open Settings & Apps → Fortnox → Connect to Fortnox and click Authorize again to issue fresh tokens. If errors persist, check that the Fortnox subscription is active and includes the integration scope.

Click Reload data in the integration Settings tab to re-import the last 12 months of Fortnox data. If the customer or article still does not appear, confirm it is not marked Inactive in Fortnox — Uku skips inactive records.
